Fleur Sauvage Campaign

The Project

I worked at 360 Studios to create this summer campaign for St-Germain. They wanted a over saturated, warm almost retro beach theme. Kind of 50’s feel. We re-used item’s such as the glasses, carafe’s and cushions from previous campaigns.

The Execution

I started creating a much longer bay area sculpting the beach and landscape using Cinema 4D’s sculpting tools similar to ZBrush. The water was just plain thick disc with a water material created and a displacement map for the ripples. It was surprisingly difficult to get the water to look real, the edges being lighter and depth darker. Once I had the bar with the decking modelled (these were supplied as skamps). We set up 3 key shot cameras and locked these down. I then started adding palm trees, boats and other objects in the camera view then texture the scene. I used CGAxis models of the tables, chairs etc. The glass table holder, serving trays were all modelled by myself from drawings and Illustrator files. All the foliage around the mirrors, parasols and seating area were all painstakingly created by hand and using mograph cloners.
