JS BRAND iD

I was asked by a recruitment agency if I was free to create a glass 3d logo treatment and wanted to see some examples. I have done many 3d brand logos in the past but not any specific in glass so thought I’d knock something up. I didn’t want to spend a long time so restricted myself to 3 hours creating something simple to demonstrate.

I wanted to have fairly thick glass to show the caustics on the sides. I tried using C4D’s thicken tool but did not work, the D’s and A inside walls did not behave so I made two Bezier outlines and extruded the outer at 1000 and inner at 800.

I also wanted to bevel all corners so I had to chamfer the sharp corners then add a thick bevel on the outer and a thin bevel on the inner then boolean cut out the middle to get the shell letters.

I used one copy of the inner and cut this in half to get the bottom liquid.

I rendered a clean 100% gloss, one with micro scratches and one with condensation. All rendered with Corona Renderer.
